  • Up to 32 sensors can be monitored by single ASM-P

ASM-Portable- PD Monitor

ASM-Portable is a portable PD monitoring tool for cables, switchgear, and other high voltage assets.  The ASM-P supports up to 32 sensor channels, and raises local or email alarms on detecting excessive discharge. This will enable quick online evaluation and supports long term condition monitoring.

  • Portable and robust ASM system support
  • PD Monitoring round the clock
  •  Automated analysis and PD detection
  • Plots PD count, Load, asset criticality and analogues
  • Up to 8 channels selectable simultaneously
  • Time of Day analysis

DeCIFer- PD Noise Cancelling

IPEC’s ASM systems use the DeCiFer algorithm to separate original PD from electrical noise. This automated detection system minimizes false alarms and precise PD detection, it is particularly reliable for long term condition monitoring.

  • Wavelet Analysis for PD/Noise segregation
  • No manual analysis required
  • DeCIFer algorithm for PD detection
  • Suitable for noisy environment

Partial Discharge Spot Testers

PD Detector PRO

The PD Detector PRO  is the next-gen handheld device for PD spot testing. Built with the most modern technology, PD Detector PRO offers the latest features and a sleek design to ensure the testing of medium and high voltage assets is more reliable and practical.

  • Advanced PD level and Noise detection
  • 3.5” high-resolution touchscreen for larger PRPD and data views
  • Multi-Language options
  • Enables the user to hear PD activity on sensors
  • Partial discharge activity is displayed in sync
  • Quick survey and monitoring of MV& HV problems
  • Automated sensor recognition

PrecisePD

PrecisePD is an online PD Spot Testing and location system for cables and switchgear with advanced signal processing  suitable for high noise environments. PrecisePD helps locate PD sources on live electrical equipment to avoid faults in HV assets.

  • Sensitive PD detection high noise settings
  • Test cables up to 4km
  • Precise PD Mapping for fault tracing
  • Integrated cable length measurement.
  • Long lasting battery
  • Easy to use

PD- SG1

PD- SG1 is a dual transducer switchgear PD detecting tool to detect TEV (switchgear) signals generated by internal discharge and acoustic discharge generated by surface tracking or corona.

  • Ultrasonic detection of surface PD levels
  • Shown on LCD screen as dB reading
  • Cycle mode to view PD graphs in power cycle.
  • Precedence mode for precise PD location
  • Bright LCD panel display for indoor and outdoor use.

Partial Discharge Sensors

The PD sensors are designed to be non-invasive and compatible with existing equipment. Partial Discharge sensors are compact and easy-to use, used to measure the presence and intensity of PD activity.

 VDS – PD Detector Pro

This compact VDS sensor measures the presence of PD activity level in air/gas insulated switchgear. It connects easily through VDS/VPIS ports using a standard banana connector, making PD testing quick, safe, and reliable.

  • Detects high-frequency transients from PD in GIS and AIS
  • Connects to LV ports for consistent per-phase measurements
  • Lightweight and easy to use casing with magnetic mounting for convenience
  • Multi-sensor plug and banana-type connector

CC-TEV

The CC-TEV capacitive coupler detects TEVs on high-voltage assets and sends quick signals to ASM, PrecisePD, or PD-SG1 systems. CC-TEV is protected by a durable pvc sleeve.

  • Detects high-frequency transients from PD in QIS and AIS
  • Connects to LV ports for consistent per-phase measurement
  • Lightweight, easy to use casing with magnetic mounting for ease of use

AA-Ultrasonic

The AA- Ultrasonic probe is specially designed to be used on air-insulated terminations. The sensor is quite sensitive and can find activity below 10pC. The probe has a magnetic base to allow coupling to steel enclosures and a swivel head for the detecting sensor to directly aim the HV point

  • Frequency response 40kHz and Receiving sensitivity -65dB min at 40 kHz
  • Sensor head swivels at 360 degrees
  • Coupling type is magnetic to be compatible with steel enclosures
  • Extremely sensitive and detects activity below 10 pC

HFCT

The HFCT or high-frequency current transformer is designed particularly for detecting PD signals, mainly in cables. HFCT has a split-core ferrite to enable retrofitting to earth straps without disconnecting. HFCT is constructed with an aluminium body to give RF shielding and to improve performance in noisy settings.

  • Transfer function at 4.8 V/A
  • Ideal for all earth and neutral PD monitoring applications
  • Designed particularly for finding PD signals
  • Built with aluminium body to give RF shielding.

Benefits of Partial Discharge Testing

Partial Discharge (PD) Testing is a robust diagnostic strategy ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical equipment. By finding early signs of defects, deterioration, and insulation wear, PD testing provides critical insights into the health of assets, prolonging their life and enabling proactive maintenance.
Why is Partial Discharge Monitoring critical?

  • Early Detection of Issues: finds insulation damage at the starting stage, preventing the progression of failures.
  • Predictive Maintenance Support: Provides real-time data on asset condition, supporting practical maintenance strategies to avoid unexpected outages.
  • Extended Asset Life: Helps maintain insulation reliability, and secure the overall lifespan of electrical equipment.
  • Improved Safety: Reduces the risk of electrical faults that could endanger workers or damage the existing infrastructure.
  • Cost Savings: Prevents costly repairs and downtime by picking potential problems before they escalate.
